AndersenDelegation to Cambodia Almost Good to Go

14 companies have signed up for participation on this Danida Business Delegation supported fact finding mission to Cambodia for Danish companies. Cambodia is known for its troublesome past, its immense beauty and for having one of Asia's absolutely greatest resources of gold, valuable stones and many rare minerals. The country’s economic outlook is impressive; 7 % growth in 2016, maintained here in 2017 and expected to continue at this level in 2018. Underperforming in its productivity mainly due to lack of training of human resources and lack of efficient production equipment in industry. And, perhaps most significantly, lack of proper management.

However, those are typical issues on many of the markets on the rise. It sends a clear signal to all our B2B members that Cambodia is a highly potential export market. The timing of getting involved and partnering up with a competent local partner is now. With numerous good examples for getting involved in similar markets among our B2B members and with very successful commercial results, we are from here looking very much forward to re-visit Cambodia and support the growing involvement of Denmark on the market. Textiles and garments remain the main industry driver, however, food processing, fishing industry and industries involved in building up societies have a bright future ahead of them. Many of you are able to deliver exactly those technologies to this expanding market.
