Andersen Consult Newsletter December 2014
Dear All,
2014 is drawing to a close, and what a tremendous year it has been. From the very outset of the year, we have been busy with several delegations and partnership development activities. In January, the year started with a dairy and agricultural delegation to Thailand followed by an investor delegation to Indonesia.
In May, not less than 21 Danish companies participated in the Green Growth Delegation to Bangladesh which was organised by The Danish Embassy in Dhaka, Danida Business Partnership Programme and Andersen Consult. This delegation was followed by a successful Food & Agriculture Delegation to Indonesia in June with 10 participating Danish companies. Similarly the Food & Agriculture Delegation was organised by the Danish Embassy in Jakarta, Danida Business Partnership Programme and Andersen Consult.
Obviously, we have been busy with follow up activities during the autumn.
In the beginning of December, yet another Delegation was conducted. Eight Danish companies participated in the Fishing and Dairy Delegation to Myanmar (Burma) organised by Andersen Consult and Incubator Centre Mid Jutland (Væksthus Midtjylland). More about this activity below.
This year’s business delegations have resulted in an enormous interest for business development in the new economies, and we are looking forward to an active 2015 following up on all participants and launching new profitable and challenging projects.
A positive cooperation with Danida and Business Incubator Centre Mid Jutland and South Denmark has greatly supported the project development and portfolio. We will continue to put emphasis on strengthening these partnerships.
One of the main success stories in 2014 in relation to market penetration of more unstructured markets is our cluster method. The cluster method is now well tested and in the long term it will continue to be one of our proposed business methods for the Danish business community. The idea that several companies are performing a challenging project task together, as often seen in the Danish business community as well, has proved to be a strong platform for especially the smaller and medium-sized companies.
2014 has indeed kept the pot boiling, and 2015 looks promising as well. Furthermore, Danida is lauching new and revised business instruments which we look forward to start using in cooperation with our clients and business partners.
All in all, 2014 has been a fantastic year. We thank all our business partners and clients for their support and cooperation during the year, and we are looking forward to see you in 2015.
On behalf of the Andersen Consult team, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to All.
Lars Siggaard Andersen
