Thai Dairy Mission to Denmark

In the beginning of June, representatives from the Thai Dairy Association (DPO) visited Denmark. The programme included visits to the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, Thailand's Embassy in Copenhagen, S. A. Christenen & co, AU Foulum, Kold College, Poul Tarp A/S and VikingGenetics.

At VikingGenetics, the visit was concerned with the opportunity to start export of bull semen from VikingGenetics to Thailand in order to increase the genetic level of local cattle in Thailand. Within the nearest future, VikingGenetics will meet two government officials from Thailand in preparation for approval of production facilities. This means that VikingGenetics will be approved to start export, and the cooperation with Thailand can be developed further.

Currently, Andersen Consult is together with Stig Vagt Andersen and DPO planning follow-up activitvities as a consequence of the business possibilities developed from this visit.
