"Welcome to the Philippines, how can we cooperate"
... was the usual comment from the many business people we met during an active week in Manila. Our fishing and fishing technology delegation ended last week with a strong commitment from both the Philippine and Danish entrepreneurs to keep in contact and to develop joint businesses. The delegation was organised in cooperation with the Danish Embassy and Ambassador Jan Top Christensen and his dedicated and professional team. By organising an action packed programme, Ambassador Christensen welcomed the delegates to a business environment we can only dream of in Denmark. “I like to book Koelemadsen A/S for the next five delegations” states satisfied delegate Ivan Madsen from Hirtshals.
The local resort Ministry had well in advance notified the entire industry that the Danes are here, and we were met with genuine interest and a cooperative attitude. The Philippine Board of Investment could thus declare the first business delegation to the Philippines in 2016 open.
